Autumn: beautiful light and colours

One of my favourite seasons of the year is autumn! Due to the position of the planet during this time of the year you get to get a very peculiar and special light (speaking about Europe here). The bright and diverse colours of the nature with the leaves falling down are perfect for getting this warm feeling that is so typical for the autumn.
Get out with your cam and walk through the park... you will see great details everywhere. I did it some days ago and here is what I found:

Quickdraw: an innovative Lense Holster

Changing lenses during a shoot is something every photographer hates... you loose time, dust may get into the cam and you can even drop the lense... so, the solution for this is to carry many cams with different lenses or perhaps this new gadget:

Allthough the idea of carrying the lenses around my waist seems a bit "obstrusive" (specially when you have to get down to the ground or climb up somewhere) to me, this solution may be handy for a shoot where you know from the beginning that you are only going to stand.

More info about this gadget (which just got funded on kickstarter!) here:

Lightroom: sharing images in social networks

One of the (often neglected) powerfull features of Lightroom is the possibility of using it as a central hub for sharing your images to the different social networs like Facebook or Flickr. Using this tool (Publish Services) can streamline your workflow and make it more efficient. Here´s a very good video-tutorial explaining this possibilities:

Relaunch of my Photography-Homepage!

So, after many weeks struggling with Java-Scripts, CSS, Flash and all the other cute things about homepages I finally redesigned my homepage:

Hope you like the new design!

Lightroom: a collection of Presets

One of the big features of Adobe Lightroom is the possibility of using presets or filters in the development module. Allthough there are some nice ones build in right when you install it, there are far more possibilities beeing produced by fellow users. One site where I have found some nice ones is the following:

Check them out and if you like one... just download and import it into Lightroom. You can use it immediately and give your images some new looks. By the way... you can always change the settings of all presets, so if you apply one of them to your image and are not quite happy with some details, you can go to the right panel and change the different parameters. And, as with all of the filters in Lightroom: the filters change the whole image, so if you just want to change some local spots you will have to open it in Photoshop.

Have fun!

Stock Photography: a bit of humour (video)

This funny video (irony intended!) shows how sometimes stock photographers produce images which, allthough covering very special topics..., will never find any buyer :-)

Perhaps you have once hold one of this CDs in your hands... and have asked yourself: WTF? :-)
